A Modern Approach

Merve’s primary therapeutic modality is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, complemented by training in several third-wave approaches including Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy and mindfulness-informed practices. Her work is formulation-driven and integrates multiple evidence-based frameworks to ensure therapy is responsive to each person’s needs and goals.

Therapy is a collaborative and structured process focused on meaningful and sustainable change. While grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Merve works flexibly across multiple NICE-aligned, evidence-based models to provide an individualised approach. Sessions are pragmatic and outcome-focused, supporting the development of clear insights and practical strategies that can be applied in everyday life. Her work also considers the wider context of wellbeing, including physiological regulation, daily routines and behavioural patterns that influence long-term emotional health.
